A LETTER TO THE GIRL WHO’S JUST STARTING OUT

A Letter to the Girl Who’s Just Starting Out

Chasing Dreams & Caffeine – by Rachel Marie Hurst

Dear Dreamer,

Yes YOU.

You don’t know it yet, but the doubt and fear that you’re feeling? In the depths of your heart.
That’s not weakness.
That’s the sound of your soul waking up. It’s you’re awesome-sauce coming to life.

You’re standing at the edge of something big—and yeah, it’s scary. IT’s SO SCARY…
You’ve got ideas, a spark, excitement but no map to make those ideas a reality.
Just your gut.
A voice whispering, “you got this”

Listen to it. Let it help you tackle the what’s next…

Here’s what I want you to know:

You’re not too late.
You’re not too much.
And you sure as hell don’t need permission.

You don’t need to wait for perfection to happen.
You just need to start.
Mine was a basement with torn carpet and a sewing machine I borrowed.
Not glamorous.
But it’s my legacy.

I worked multiple jobs to buy fabric.
I failed my way through my first fashion show, my first business… Hell, even now I am failing (story coming soon, I promise).
I stapled clothes together before I could sew.
I was afraid of dead bodies, so I left pre-med.
(Still terrified of zombies, tbh.) My list is long, longer…

And I’m telling you this not because it’s dramatic…
But because it’s real.

Because success doesn’t look like what you think it does.
It looks like staying in the game when you feel invisible.
It looks like crying, doubting, spiraling—and then starting again the next day. It looks like a hot mess!
But in your own way. On your own terms.

If you're tired of shrinking—

Tired of sitting on the sidelines of your own life—
Let this be your sign.

Wear the outfit.
Send the email.
Sketch the idea.
Say the scary yes.

SHINE BRIGHTLY!

You don’t have to do it perfectly.
You just have to start.

The version of you you’re becoming?
She’s bold.
She’s grounded.
She’s gonna f*cking dazzle!

So take the first step, boss babe…
You got this!
